Every year families throughout America gather around the dinner table to recount what they are thankful for. But for many, they have forgotten what it’s really all about. We are, at the moment, a very divided nation, and we need not look far to see that we are running off the rails of a moral and civil society.
Yet we can learn a lesson about giving thanks in all circumstances from our Christian Pilgrim forebears, who stopped to give thanks under circumstances far more grave than our own, and who saw God’s hand of blessing do amazing things.
