Donor Privacy Policy

Our mission at D. James Kennedy Ministries (DJKM) is:

To proclaim the good news of the Gospel throughout the Earth, introducing people to the Person and the redeeming work of Jesus Christ;

To teach and nurture His followers, helping them to grow in grace and in service to Christ and His church;

To equip and encourage believers to live out their faith, making a difference in the world around them; and

To defend religious liberty, by helping believers understand America’s Christian heritage and by motivating them to lovingly engage the culture with the heart and mind of Christ.

In seeking to fulfill this mission, we rely on the support of faithful and generous donors like you. Without you, we could not faithfully exalt Christ before a watching and listening world. In recognition of our partnership with you, we embrace our stewardship responsibility to preserve the privacy and security of your personal information and to clearly disclose how we use that information.

Thanks for taking the time to review the statements that follow. We continually review our policies, procedures, and systems to make sure that we conform to the highest standards of information security, end-user transparency, and informed consent. Accordingly, this donor privacy policy may change periodically. Any revisions to this policy will be posted here, enabling you to access our current donor privacy policy.

The Information We Collect From Donors

DJKM does not collect personal information without your knowledge and consent. We may request personal information when you create an account, request a resource, create a subscription to one of our publications, make a donation, make a purchase, submit a prayer request, or use site links to otherwise communicate with us. This information may include, but may not be limited to, your first and last names, postal address, telephone number, email address, and other demographic information. For online transactions, we also request your credit card number, expiration date, and may request your Card Security Code.

How We Use The Information We Collect

We use the personal information we collect primarily to serve your specific needs and fulfill your specific requests. We may share your personal information with external service providers who help us better serve you, under strict contractual terms that preserve your privacy and prevent any misuse of your personal information. Examples of such service providers include, but are not limited to, mailing service bureaus and credit card processors.

D. James Kennedy Ministries does not share your information with other organizations, except for those service providers who help us serve you under contract, as described in the preceding section of this policy, or if legally required to do so, such as by law, regulation, court order, subpoena, search warrant, or in response to privacy processes, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of D. James Kennedy Ministries or its personnel.

We make one provisional exception to this constraint for donors with no financial activity with our ministry for the last five years. We occasionally receive requests from other Christian ministries for permission to send an introductory mailing to this group of lapsed donors. We evaluate these requests on a case-by-case basis, only approving those coming from ministries who share our core Christian values. Any donor may opt out of this provisional contingency by using the contact information provided above.

Your Informed Consent

DJKM reserves the right to change this policy at any time, without advance notice. Whenever we change our privacy policy, the revised policy will always be posted here for your review.

Information Security

DJKM is committed to preserving the security of all information in our custody. Our information systems are maintained in physically secured, access-controlled data centers. All data are protected through a multi-layered approach at the network, storage, server, and applications levels, with data access rigorously controlled and limited to trained employees on a need-to-know basis. In addition, we engage external consultants to audit our online systems and test them periodically for all known vulnerabilities.
