What does it mean to reclaim America for Christ? We are not talking about reclaiming America for Christian people. What is at issue here is the sovereignty of God over all of creation. Dutch theologian and political leader Abraham Kuyper put it this way: There is not a square inch in all the domain of our human existence over which Christ—who is Sovereign over all—does not cry: Mine! Ours is a nation birthed in freedom—the principal one being religious freedom.
And that freedom is under enormous duress in out day. What is needed to defend it? According to Dr. Kennedy, the thing needed above all else is courage—courage in the proclamation of the Gospel and courage in defense of liberty, as he explains in his message: “America for God.”
