The Bankruptcy of Socialism

In recent decades, socialism has expanded in America. What’s the real problem with socialism? Some would say that the government ownership and control of the means of production—the very definitional essence of socialism—stifles individual initiative and therefore innovation.
Others would point to socialism’s inherent inefficiency in allocating the means of production that deliver goods and services across an economy.
Still others would cite the false utopian ideals of socialism that ignore the fallen nature of mankind.

But perhaps British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher put it best when she said: “The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.”
