On a Friday afternoon nearly 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ was nailed to a cross, died, and was buried. He was innocent, but he died as a criminal in our place, for our sins. And then on Sunday morning, he bodily rose again from the dead, proving himself to be the Son of God, and securing victory over death itself.
