This Memorial Day weekend is a time of national reflection to remember that freedom is not free. We remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives on the battlefield to make sure that we continue to enjoy the freedoms that we have in America today. But while Americans remember those who fought for our freedom, America itself is not what it once used to be.
Today, we see freedom greatly diminishing in our country since a people who cannot govern themselves will be governed by an ever-growing, increasingly-intrusive state. And to lose that freedom is to diminish the sacrifices we celebrate on Memorial Day. Dr. D. James Kennedy shares more, in his message, “The Twilight’s Last Gleaming.”
