We often talk about the biblical mandate to live out our faith in the world around us. Having trusted in the Person and work of Jesus Christ, being born again by the Spirit of God, we are to be His witnesses in the world.
Well what does that look like? Principally it involves two things—knowing Christ and making Him known to others. Jesus describes it more vividly as He calls His followers the salt of the earth and the light of the world. And as Dr, Kennedy points out, the more we show forth the many beneficial attributes of salt in our own lives the more the light of Christ shines brightly before others.
