In Christ, the demands of the law and the due punishment of sinners is met. And only in Christ can true forgiveness be found. Grace is free for you and me—but it’s infinitely expensive for Christ.
God’s decision to rescue us from the judgment of the law, through the perfect work of Christ, runs contrary to our common understanding. This is why the Gospel message is so astonishing.
